Create your own Sewing Resource of Stitches
Sewing is an activity that has been pursued since before threads were spun and cloth was woven. But beyond the simple joining of two pieces of fabric together, the possibilities of decorating fabric with thread open before us.
In the Stitch Library, we will go on a journey starting with the basic running stitch, and from there explore many of the useful and decorative stitches used in historic and modern sewing.
Each stitch will be examined, with an article and companion video explaining how to complete the stitch. A downloadable stitch guide is also available to help you practice each new stitch as we learn them.
From there, we can explore how to apply these stitches, in isolation or combined with other stitches, to create beautifully embellished clothes and household items, or to simply sew for relaxation, as we intentionally slow the pace of life down for a short while and focus on needle pulling thread through the fabric.
Create your own reference library of stitches as you watch our videos, and keep the stitch guides handy to refer to when you are looking for inspiration for your own stitching projects.
